about me
My name is Steve Almond, and I am an architectural designer from the University of Cincinnati. As a designer, I have developed a deep interest in the architectonics of urban scale development and studying what it takes to build a socially, economically, and productively diverse city. I have had many opportunities to work beyond my practice and university, such as presenting my capstone to natural resource interest groups, studying abroad in Italy, and completing archaeological renderings as part of a presentation to the European Association of Archaeologists. Metropolis magazine selected me as one of the top 25 graduating architectural Masters thesis students in the United States and Canada in 2023. My thesis work has been selected to be presented at the University of Groningen, the University of Sarajevo, and the Ohio State University as part of research on socialist architectural heritage.
