cincinnati masonry museum
How do we display our appreciation for historic materiality? Historic form? I aim to highlight the significance of masonry in the Cincinnati area by utilizing brick in a manner that deviates from its past uses. In the masonry institute, brick makes an appearance as an aesthetic material, but it is deliberately disregarded as a structural material. Masonry is celebrated by its utilization as a design piece and by not being used as it has been in the past.
