ELEVATOR SHAFT APARTMENT
office space conversion to residential has been an obsession of contemporary developers, but there are many spaces in office buildings that are ignored. instead of developing buildings that completely shift their program, we should seek to incorporate residential fabric into active commercial and office space. the decommissioned elevator shaft in my office served as a proving ground for diversifying urban fabric with the interspersal of dissimilar spaces.
